drs visit

Asa is up to 16.5 pounds. he feels so much heavier. the dr visit was ok. why do they make you wait sooo long? Asa was undressed and ready to be examined in the coolish room forever. i had to BF him twice and still he was unhappy. then of course he had to get shots. i think me pulling off his bandaid this evening was worse than the shot. sorry Asa.

i got the dough started for bread today. i am following the recipe in Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day. i will post soon about how artisan my bread turns out to be.

still knitting the mittens. they seen to big around. i'll try them on Asa in the am and start over if they will not work.

it begins...

no one may ever read this page, but i think documenting my life with Asa will be easier if i can type it instead of trying to keep a journal, so here goes.

today is his 4 month birthday. the most exciting thing we did today was begin using the 90-minute BABY SLEEP program. it worked all day. basically you put your baby down to sleep exactly 90 minutes (or as close as possible to 90 minutes) after they wave up. it worked for the 4 times i tried to get him to sleep. we will try tomorrow, but he has a dr appointment at 9:30, so who knows? if it will work.

i got my Christmas Present to myself with Christmas $$$ from mom, myrt, daddy bill, etc. a beautiful new aqua/tourquoise (sp?) blue le creuset 7.25 quart dutch oven! very exciting.

i also started Asa's a pair of mittens. they are orangy-red from yarn left over from his sweater.
